Epoxy floor after cabinets in?

I am going t be finishing up my garage in the next month. It will be too cold to put down epoxy.( Nashville)

I was going to have the cabinets installed and plumbing( sink) finalized to be done with the construction part.

Anybody do their floors with cabinets installed? I am just thinking it will be a mess with all the dust, taping etc. etc.

Any word of wisdom?

Yes, do the floor first. Might not fit your schedule or plan but it is the way to go. If you ever change your cabinets your floor will be finished under it.

You might want to check out Nohr-S by Legacy Industrial or the Rust Bullet coating that Garage Flooring LLC sells. They both can be applied in colder temps. That way you can get your floor done before the cabinet install.

Is your garage heated or attached to your house? Also, you might want to take the temperature of the concrete floor. Many epoxy products are rated for 50 F and above. I'm getting my floor ready and was concerned about the same thing. Then I pulled out my infrared thermometer (http://www.homedepot.com/p/Ryobi-Infrared-Thermometer-IR002/205509667) and got concrete floor readings of 59 F when the temperature here in WI is around 45 F outside.

Shea - I just read the linked page you provided on Nohr-S. That looks like a very friendly product to install. Thank you for sharing. Since I haven't ordered my epoxy, yet, I'm going to look at Nohr-S a little more closely.

Our SPGX can be applied down to about 40 deg floor temp and will cure just fine.
