I'm about to lay down some Rust-Oleum Professional Epoxy Floor Coating Kit (203373) in a one car garage and have a few questions. I'll be applying two layers of the color, and no clear coat (trying to keep cost down somewhat).

If I'm putting the flakes on top of the second coat, would I also mix the anti-slip into the second coat? I've heard of issues with the flakes coming up w/o a clear (since they're more or less laid on top). Thanks

Anti Skid material is usually place in the top-coat (urethane, polyaspartic, etc...)
This is because most base material will absorb it due to thickness.

Not sure about the products you are using.

After figuring the cost of the Rustoleum, my time, and the need for a topcoat ( see other comments on the forum about top coats) with this system I chose Epoxy-Coat which actually came out to be approximately the same expense and has a heck of a better warrantee.

I strongly recommend going with the clear top coat. I live in a four-unit complex and all of us have coated floors; one guy painted his, two did the epoxy w/ no top coat, and I have the epoxy with top coat. Out of the four, mine is the only one that's holding up. The other two have peeled. Though I suspect the other two were lazy on the prep. Really, 90% of my time was spent on prep.

If you go two coats of color, I suggest rolling one in the "north-south" direction and the other in the "east-west" direction. And get the spike shoe covers. I didn't want to spend another $25 on them but wound up regretting it because I couldn't closely watch what I was doing and missed a few spots.

BTW, I bought two one-car garage kits for my place, which is an extra-large two-car garage, and only used about two-thirds of the material.
