epoxy floor color

ok ive searched the garage journal site and could not find a comparable answer so ill ask my question and hope ists not already been asked 100 time. I put rustoleum epoxy on my floor. I spent extra time preparing and doing this DIY project correct. I am very satisfied with the performance of this product . my problem though is it has dried in different shades. I applied it in 4x4 sections and in several places it is very apparent. does anyone have an idea to give my floor the same color

When doing a floor in sections of the mixing is not super 100% matches this can occur also we have seen even temp and humidity affecting shades from the same batch.

As stated above recoating Is the only solution. Thanks.

Yes, applying another coat will solve your issue. The DIY kits like Rust-Oleum and others are a low solids epoxy with a thin viscosity as well. Because of this, it can penetrate into the concrete more in some areas than others leaving a very thin dry film thickness in spots. These areas tend to look off color and have less gloss as well.

thank you it is a relief to know im not stuck with this problem. another question though, when you say re coat or re apply do you mean recleaning and etching and all the prep I did for the first coat or just re apply another coat of paint and epoxy mix on top of existing floor

Sand the existing, removing the gloss, then recoat.
