Epoxy Floor first or Cabinets?

Going to do my garage floor and put in some new cabinets/work bench. Figured it would be best to have a empty garage and coat the floor wall to wall. Then thought I might ruin (scratch) the epoxy floor doing all the cabinet installation.

Any thoughts as to which to do first?

If its me, I put the epoxy down first. I don't know of a real downside and I like the idea of being able to change my mind as to placement or have an appliance that can be removed and still have a nice floor.

Floor. Once the floor is done, then you can do anything.

Yes, the floor has some surface marks now from piles of OSB and moving machinery. It is a garage after all. Nothing big, but cleanup is a lot easier with a painted floor.

We typically install our vcabs first since ours are completely suspended. We have the client pile everything up in the middle, install their cabs and wall storage, give them a day or 2 to put stuff away, then do the floors

1 vote for installing the cabinets, first. This way, you can put stuff away within them and less clutter to deal with while painting the floor project. Do the workbench after the floor has been coated.

I do the floor first and then cabinets the following day. For overhead racks we put those up the same day as the floor. Since all my cabinets are custom, we do them in almost any color, texture and size that the customer wants. We also do faux cabinets that go over breaker box panels, that still make the breaker box totally accessible. I also do cabinets that wrap around hot water-heaters and have done a few concealed large gun safes that we wrapped in a large cabinet to match all the cabinets in the garage. think we did a few wine cooler cabinets as well a couple years back.
