Epoxy Floor just finished but have a question

I just had the walls painted and the floor epoxied in my 'new' garage at my Florida house.
The floor and the color flake choice I am very happy with but my wife feels the edge of the floor past the garage door where it butts the pavers is not finished.
So short of ending 47 years of marriage, is there anything anyone has done to finish this edge off?
Thank you,
Joe

Well what I do professionally is what you have done. Bring it out past the door and finish it with poly, as the rest of the floor is.

If you wanted something different, you could purchase a threshold and try to wedge it in between the pavers and the finished floor. But I would be happy with it as it is, as long it has clear poly on it. Other than that, idk. Maybe someone else has an idea. But like I said, I -always- bring it out like that.

If you have bare areas where the concrete is showing still, just apply a coat of poly, and broadcast the flake into it, then top coat.

Here is one that I just finished on Friday, took down the tent today.

This homeowner is going to have the asphalt company come out and squeeze some tar between the existing asphalt and the concrete slab.35d64cce4841ccbe774070aa993429fe.jpg

If the wife wants a finished edge I would give her a finished edge.

I’d use backer rod and properly rated exterior caulk and primer and she gets color choice.

Thanks for all the replies. After much thought I used vinyl 4" base molding, turned it upside down and voila!
The wife is happy again.

The door gets no sun at all and it will keep my wife from complaining for a while.
It is not glued down so I can always easily change a piece. If I am going to move cars in and out I can just move them out of the way.

I'm confused. You're going to move that piece of vinyl every time you want to get a car out to avoid arguing with your wife? I think I will finish my coffee, put down my computer and go hug my wife right now.

Epoxy is not for outdoor use so it won't hold up and will discolor and chalk over time. We normally recommend stopping it at the inside of the door seal.

As for keeping the Mrs. happy, then coat it, but it will require maintenance and not last like the garage will.
