Hello all,

The wife and I have decided to put down epoxy on our garage floor for a townhome. Garage is about 500 square feet max. The house is about 10 months old and the concrete has no visible oil spots. I do have a 2 small holes that need to be patched and cracks around the outline that need to be filled in. I plan to rent a grinder from Home Depot for my prep. The floor will be for light use...no welding or heavy tools at work in the garage. We've narrowed it down to 3 possible choices:

Epoxy Master
ArmorPoxy
Garage Flooring LLC

Just curious is anyone has recommendations out of those 3? Feel free to recommend others if you feel as well. Thanks

I highly recommend Legacy industrial. Although I can't comment on your choices, Scotty from Legacy has been incredible helpful to me. I had zero experience with floors or epoxy, and he was always prompt responding here on the forum.

As far as the product, I was really amazed how easy it was to apply. Plus everything needed was included in the kit. Mixers, rollers, gloves. I'm thoroughly impressed with Legacy and their product

Thank you everyone. Lots of good choices here! We too are not familiar with Epoxy Master. One comment...if you grind, best to prime...avoids potential problems.

Thanks for everyone's response. I will call each company mentioned to see if they can walk me through their product a little better and make a decision. Thanks again for your replies.

I used Epoxy Master at my previous home. I was happy with it. I had to order another bucket because it ended up not covering as much as I had planned. I regretted not putting on a top coat as it did yellow from the sun. It also had some bubbles in the surface that I assume were from the spiked shoes, but now I seem to believe it was from a lack of primer. For this reason, I am looking at GarageFlooringLLC at the moment for my new house. I was happy with the finished results, but gonna try something different this time.

There are vendors who sell good solids epoxy kits. Unfortunately, they don't offer a primer. Get a primer from another vendor or you could be in bubble city.

All epoxy can amber if exposed to uv enough. A clear will help a bit but will not prevent it. For that reason choose a color from the tan or gray color family, much less noticeable.
