Got a quote of $7.25 sq ft. Included grinding, vapor coat, epoxy 100% solids, clear coat. 800 square ft garage, 3-4 day job. This is my first quote, is it ballpark?

The vapor-coat is likely bringing it up a bit, but well worth the investment if it is a legit product and of course if you have moisture issues.

Vapor barrier epoxy goes on MUCH thicker if properly applied (question them and make sure of gallonage used and if it’s less than 100 sq ft /gal insist on more epoxy of demand to see tech data on products they are using). This raises the price not insignificantly so your price May be in line.

Wait,... that comes out to about $5800 for 800 sq. ft?

That would mean my new-to-me 441 sq. ft garage (21x21 plus a little 2.5x8 alcove) would be about $3200 if done by pros. That ain't happening:bounce:

Downshift to other options if this is an accurate price range. Damn.

PS: No, I'm NOT doing it myself. I don't trust myself not to screw it up. VCT or Racedeck (if a LOT more affordable) it will be.
