Hi- long time lurker; first time poster. I hope the forum community can give me feedback on a quote. So I have a new house with an oversized 3 car garage. I was referred to a professional epoxy company from a friend. The details:
-750 sq ft
-floor prep includes diamond grinding
-100% solid epoxy
-15 mil thickness
-colored chip and anti-skid glass bead included
Out the door price: $1250

-full chip and clearcoat (takes total thickness up to 30 mils) is extra.

What does everyone think? Good price?

I would be thrilled if you would send me the name of the place that quoted that for you.

From your screen name - I think we may be neighbors.

Just had my 900 sq ft floor done last week. Terra Chip Deco system. Total cost per ft was $4.50. Complete with diamond grind, primer coat, full coat of chips, three top coats with metallic tape between top coats. If your systems is as good as mine, your getting a heck of a deal.

Quote doesn't appear to match reality. Maybe the pro is using Behr's interior acrylic flat system. :)

Something is wrong with that quote. Hell the material alone is that much, for quality epoxy. In my area it runs from $6-$8 a sqft for a decent job. I spent about $3 a sqft doing it myself last year.

That sounds like the price given from someone working out of a truck with a cell phone. Too good to be true usually is.

Given that op posted two posts and hasn't responded I guess we should assume it was misquoted or not epoxy lol

I called a place in my area (Wisconsin) and got a price of $7 sq ft for installing the epoxy/urethane system. Diamond grinding extra in the $900-$1500 range depending on the amount of profiling required.
