I've been watching for a while, and this is my 1st post.
I will soon be having a 3-car 600 sq. ft. garage with the concrete poured in November. I am looking for suggestions as to what product to use. I have used U Coat-it in the past and I won't be using them again due to the reliability of their product and their nonexistent Customer Service and Warranty.
Thanks,
Jim

Welcome Jim.
I can't offer any advice on epoxy as I went a different route, but you're bound to find some good options on this forum.

You have a nice "stable", I know there is no substitute. I saw a picture of your garage on Moparts.com

The answers to these basic what do I do threads are generally hit or miss and biased responses and advertisements. The best answer for someone who actually cares enough to the find the best solution for his or her garage, is to not be lazy and keep reading all the theads. It would be unwise for anyone to make a choice based on the small volume of answers here compared to the volume of other good information in the rest of the threads (including the sticky, which has most of the brands people use)--so my advice is to not be lazy. Anyone who spends even a minimal amount of time reading previous posts would know the answer to this question.

The answers to these basic what do I do threads are useless and hit or miss. Best answer--keep reading; it takes only 2-5 pages to see what people use and what your other options are.

Thank You
Your response was useless, I guess you are right.

Just do a search on epoxy reviews and let your mouse be your guide. There is a lot of great information here. As you will see, what one person swears by another swears off. Just make sure that what ever product you decide on, it should be close to, if not, 100% solids if you want a quality product.

Remember that no matter who's product you choose, if you don't do the proper floor preparation you will have problems regardless.

Good luck!

I can't speak from experience, as I haven't laid my floor down. But over this next week, I plan on using Sherwin Williams High Solids Tile Clad Epoxy. I chose this after watching several pro flooring installers using this product(on Youtube) and the folks at Sherwin Williams telling me that pretty much all the local contractors use it on their warrantied work. The other reason, is my completely inexperienced and non-scientific opinion that a solvents based epoxy will penetrate and adhere to concrete better than 100% solids.

Bonus points - Being an SW product, it can be tinted to any color you'd like!

I then did fill broadcast of chips

Covered chips with BDC clear epoxy and then
finished with one coat of BDC polyurethane

Anybody interested i can provide specific product #'s

I used Wolverine coatings system: integraflex to fill expansion joints/primer/100% solids epoxy/endurashield (urtethane clear) and have been very please so far. The floor has been down for 4 months and it has held up just fine. No failure as of yet. I put the floor down myself and it is not for the faint of heart to do this sort of project. My garage was big though, 800 sq feet. I have yet to put a post up chronicling what I've done to my garage so far. I'll have to do that at some point. Been busy in the garage though. Fred at wolverine frequents this board every now and then, you can shoot him an email. Super helpful on the phone and via email.

I would be interested in the product numbers.

Thanks for sharing your results.
