Epoxy Floor

I am curious to hear opinions about epoxy paint and snow melt. Is it slippery?

Anything better?

My opinion, any floor is slick with snow melt on it. If you buy a kit it comes with anti skid that you put into the clear coat.

Anything that gets on an epoxy floor will make it slick - water, WD-40, etc.

Mine has a fine sprinkle of ground glass in the first clear coat (before the top coat) that seems to help reduce slipping.

Yes, just about any epoxy floor without some sort of anti-slip is going to be slippery with snow melt. There are a few anti-slip additives that you can add to a topcoat however that will help reduce this tremendously.

I added "Shark Grip" to the clear on my floor. Even when it is convered with melting snow you cannot slip on this floor. Without it you would bust your as* in a heartbeat.
