Epoxy Flooring - How is yours holding up?

Epoxy professionals Michigan 100% epoxy 2 coat system, one color then flakes and clear on top.

Almost 2 years

I have small holes in the epoxy. Getting ooze thru the holes.

Installer who left my area but I found is less than helpful.

Floor see light traffic, some mechanical and park cars daily. No issues from this.

IMO all issues caused by failure of installer to use a water / moisture barrier as a base coat primer. He told me it was not necessary because 15 MILS soaks into the floor. The installer was full of it.

I know lots of folks here have done Epoxy floors by multiple different manufactures. Let's make a thread to show how everyones floor is holding up.

Things to include.

Manufacturer of Epoxy

How long has the epoxy been down

What type of condition the floor is in(cracking, chipping, peeling, yellowing etc)

What type of traffic the floor sees(foot only, vehicle parking, heavy mechanics work, etc)

If you can post pictures of the floor in its current state that would be helpful.


I think this would be a big help for anyone who is planning on purchasing epoxy for their garage. If anyone has any more ideas of stuff to add to the list, let's hear them.

My floor was applied by The Garage Experts over 3 years ago. It still looks new. There are a couple of chips in it from me dropping pieces of metal but overall it has held up very well. I love my floor!!!!!!

Keep in mind MVB products like our Aqua-Dike are expensive and most folks will abandon the project or the MVB once they see the adder. It is great insurance however.

My Wolverine Products floor is 2 years old now and I have rolled heavy machinery, riding mowers, floor jacks, jack stands and everything else you can think of for an average full use garage. My floor today looks just like it did when I put it down. Here are a couple of recent shots of the woodworking side of my garage. I am standing in the center bay and the floor is a little dirty from the car A/C draining. It will clean up just fine and other than that fact it looks good as new. I have no staining from anything I have dropped on the floor, even wood stains just wipe right up. There isn't any tire marks or lifting from the racing tires in my hot rod side of the garage either.

I used the full Wolverine list with primer, main coat, full flakes and 2 coats of polyurethane clear coat finish coat.

My Wolverine floor has been installed for 2 years with absolutely no de-lamination at all. I receive complements every time someone sees the floor.

Mines been down for 3 years.
Dulux
Base coat then flakes then clear top coat. I put down a real thick coverage and so far its held up well.
No flaking. It burns a bit when welding which shows but aside from that and dragging a sharp heavy object which did put a good scratch in it is very hard and resistant.
No signs of yellowing but it doesn't get any sunlight umless the door is opened.
