Epoxy Flooring

The industry standard for minimum cure time prior to epoxy coating of concrete is 28 days. Does anyone know of a coating where a shorter time will do? I'm just needing the coating for housekeeping issues. I know of water based coatings and would assume the moisture wouldn't be a problem. I have a huge project that has equipment moving in at a set date from over seas. These need to go online soon after arrival and this wait will really distroy my schedule.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are some, not all, water based epoxies that can be used on green concrete. Urethane concrete systems can also work on green concrete....you may need to contact a qualified pro

I believe it is the corrosive gases that continue to come out of the concrete as it cures that is the problem, not the moisture content. It needs 28 days to stop.

Putting a standard epoxy floor on green concrete like that is setting yourself up for failure. Not only because of the moisture, but because of outgassing, which will make lots of little bubbles in your floor as it cures. They do make specialty epoxies that can go on green concrete, but they are not cheap. If you can't wait the 28 days, I would look into another type of flooring.
