Hey everyone! Came here from reddit as it was suggested THIS is the place!
I'm in southern wisconsin, a lot of cold, snow, ice and salt. I recently bought a house and after this winter it was made apparent I need to do something with the flooring it's just bare concrete now. It is in really good condition though besides needing to be cleaned from this winter.
I did a google search on the rustoleium rock solid and saw it was a ok product.
I'm looking at around $400-600 for the garage, it's 21x21 so 441ish sq ft.
I like the epoxy look. I don't mind grinding down the garage floor if need be (I've never done it but a quick learner). I looked at doing a mat type system, I saw racedeck was suggested thats way out of my price budget.I saw some people mention costco has something similar is it as good/worth it?
Plan to live here for years to come. So I'd rather buy once cry once. I also don't want to have to redo it in a few years.
My garage is also slightly sloped towards my house for some reason. I saw most have self leveling in them.
My only plus so to say for epoxy is clear coat it then I can easily push water out of the garage outside once it drips off, not sure if I can do that with a mat.
I tried to give as much info as I could to help with ideas/suggestions.
Thanks!
Edit to add, I saw rust bullet is fairly popular? How is that? I watched some videos on rust bullet it looks cool. I like the flakes in epoxy (which apparently you can do on rust bullet). I would just have to put a clear coat over the rust bullet for the flakes.
