Epoxy Floors

I am new to the whole process of putting epoxy onto the garage floor. I want to epoxy my brand-new garage floor that was poured six months ago.
I would like recommendations for brands of epoxy that have had the best results in northern Florida.
For preparing the cement I have heard that the grinding is best – is it necessary to do?
What about etching? Do you need to etch if you grind?
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Yes, grinding is best for concrete prep and no, etching is redundant if you grind.

It is important to consider the product you use before making a final determination. Grinding is always 'better' than etching, but not always necessary. You will want to check with whoever poured to concrete and see if any additives at all were used.
