I have very good experience with metallic epoxy floor coatings. Its hot new trend with very high tech and exotic looking flooring option. It is resistant to oil, salt, chemicals, acids, water, and wear as any other high performance epoxy garage floor. Little bit slippery, but overall good...!!!:rocker:

If the floor is slippery, it's definitely not for me. I always manage to fall and break something looking like a complete fool if the floor is slippery.

Coated concrete will be slick unless you do something to remedy that. Typical (but not all) concrete has some profile to it and water absorbs. You put an impermeable layer on top of that with a urethane (think about the wood floors we slid across in our socks as kids) on top of that. Now add water or oil.

Flake add some element of traction. But we put urethane on top of the flake so not as much as one would assume. That is where Antiskid comes in and there are soooooo many different types, grits, amounts that can be added and results.

Regardless of what type of coating you use, how slick the floor is will be a direct result of the efforts you make to mitigate the issue.
