Epoxy garage floor with anchor pots

I am moving into a new garage with an unfinished floor. The floor has a bunch of anchor pots but I want to epoxy coat it.

I was thinking of taping around the anchor pots, but the best solution would probably be to remove them since we would have zero use for them and I am worried about them being potential weak points for the epoxy coating.

Anyone have experience removing them? I know they are wedged into the concrete, but the lid and outer lip seem easily removeable. Wondering if I can just use an angle grinder to remove the chain and fill in the hole with a concrete mix?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Do you know which way they screw? Like, if you took your angle grinder and chopped down into them vertically to create a slot, could you use a big screwdriver to crank them down lower into the floor? I would as least try that.

If they can't be moved, I would turn the grinder horizontal and grind them as flush as possible.
Then maybe bondo or non-shrinking grout to smooth them over. Or they sell premixed floor filler in little 1 gallon buckets.

I'm not sure how large of a void the ez anchors create or, how many of them you have but, if it were my floor, would remove the lid/chain, grind the sleeve down as much possible (no need to go crazy with it) and fill with them with our TrowelEase 1162 epoxy mortar. Then... grind the floor and apply either one of our flake floor systems or our solid color full ceramic CFLC Systems..... if it were my floor. ;)
