I am going to be epoxying my garage floor soon and was wondering how many paint chips people would recommend using. The garage is 30 feet by 22 feet I know it is mainly preference but I was wondering how many pounds most people would use for this. I'm going to be using grey epoxy with black & white paint chips.

I just did my 30x26 last weekend and ordered 22lbs. thinking I was going to get a heavy coat and only used 8lbs. and have alot on the floor. One other thing to think about is that the more flakes you use the thinker the clear needs to be if you want that smooth finish. I have alot of "texture" in my floor because I didnt get a thick enough coat and would like to add another coat of urethane but dont know how to go about doing it. I want the smooth look.

I just did my 25x20 garage. I used 3.5lbs of flake which turned out to be heavy coverage. Here's a photo.

relating to the fleck: does heavy fleck provide traction, or is it necessary to add the "sand" additive to the epoxy for safety (anti-slip)?

I used 30lbs of 1/16 chips on my 550sqft. Same color as your doing, the chips are grey white and black the blend is called Galaxy I paid $3.75 per pound for the chips through a local company. Thats a better price than most retailers on here if you want their contact info let me know.
