UPDATED FINAL PICS Epoxy install today

Emptied the garage last night and got the fridge on a dolly and covered it with a tarp to spend a few days outside. Going to let the pictures do the talking on this On this one...

Quick summary. Needed to remove my old epoxy I did in 2008. It had been damaged due to a flood and ensuing construction. Floor was ground, defects filled, repairs ground, vacuum slab, apply 100% medium gray epoxy, add chips and non slip additive last. Tomorrow they will return to top it with Polly to uv stabilize it and add some gloss.

Company showed up today at 8am to begin and job was completed at noon. Much faster than I imagined.

I paid 1500 for the job including the clear coat.

It evened out the squeegee ridges.

And seemed to remove some pin holes caused by popping bubbles.

Great floor!!
The bubbles can turn into a nightmare. This is one reason you really need to apply a primer.

Updated the original post with final shots after the Polly clear coating was installed Sunday. Overall I am satisfied with the way the job came out and I hope it will wear well. I think I got a great value for the $ invested and I cannot wait for Tuesday to move my stuff back in. No cars for 5 days so I will probably leave them out until i clean them up next weekend.

You ain't kidding. I love having the garage cleaned up and in good repair. Since the hurricane, my house has never been in better repair. (And I have never been poorer-LOL) Funny how that works out. I also have never had a better handle in the various systems in my house.

The only issues left for me to tackle are an emergency generator and some closet organization.

Thanks, I was planning on doing the job myself as I had in the past. This time I needed to find someone to grind off the remnants of the old coating. I was getting prices between $2,500 and $ 3,700 for exactly what I got here.

I was very skepticle because I believe in you get what you pay for and I decided to check some references since the price was so good. There were a few negative comments on the web about the company and I discussed them with the owner. He told me there are 3 negative non specfic complaints and he has dont thousands of floors. Hew asked, how many references do you want?

He gave me many references from Chicago and I asked for local references to me. I got a few and called them to discuss their experience. Both were happy with the price and quality. Neither opted for the clear coat which added some expense to my install. I booked my appointment for 6 weeks out and a few days before my install date re-called the references who were all very happy with the job. I went ahead and so far I am happy. I cojuld have never done this good a job as quickly as they did.
