Epoxy kit shelf life

I wanted to see if anyone knew if there would be any problems using an epoxy kit that has been sitting on the shelf for about 4 years. It's brand new, never opened but I never got around to using it to finish my garage. Should I go ahead and use it or dump it and buy a fresh kit?

Unless you can contact the manufacturer of the kit and confirm otherwise, don't use it

Yep.

I've used "expired" coatings in the past. It's really a gamble. If you are able to stir it up and there are no chunks, you may be OK, but that is no guarantee. Also the conditions it was stored in matter. Was it sitting in 90+ degree weather for months on end, or was it stored in an A/C cooled house? Heat kills liquid coatings, especially 4 years of it. You're probably better off purchasing new materials overall.
