Been lurking for some time. Had my 24x36 , 3 bay garage built last fall and have been reading up on floor finishes. Have decided Wolverine is the way to go so I'm starting to assemble tools needed. I've seen the recommendation to use a sufficiently powerful drill for mixing the epoxy and wanted to know if a powerful cordless drill will work or if this will need a corded drill to get the job done. I'll have to post up some pics soon
Thanks
Gary

A GOOD power drill will work fine, but do avoid wimpy drills and bad batteries. You do not want to have a drill fail on you 30 seconds into the mixing.

I feel pretty confident with the cordless I use, but if there's any doubt have a back-up handy.

I'd say that the number one problem we see is improper mixing.

About half way through the mixing grab one of those stir sticks and scrape along the inside of the pail, dislodge any stuff hanging on the sides in there. Also sweep along the bottom.

Mix at about medium speed, enough to get everything nice and blended, but not so fast that you're introducing air bubbles.

Use this type of mixer:

If there are any sharp edges on the blades, smooth them down first, don't want to cut into the pail and have bits of plastic in the coating.

No need to clean the mixer, the epoxy will cure and be set to use when you're ready for the next coat, plus it adds character.

Let us know when you're set to go.

I used a Craftsman Pro 3/8" corded drill and it was fine for mixing the Wolverine epoxy (LiquaTile and BondTite). Where I ran into issue was trying to use that drill to mix the IntegraFlex, it killed my drill. I had previously bought a 1/2" corded drill to prime oil pumps, I should have just used that.

I always tell people a 1/2" drill... if your drill is made in China it should probably be bigger... and you should have 3-4 of them so that one of them will work!!!
