Just has a full flake epoxy floor with polyurethane top coat installed over a painted floor in my garage. The painted floor lifted in a few spots specificity where tires were. The contractor started sanding floor and said the paint adherence was very good except in hot tire lift areas and the epoxy could be applied over the paint after the surface was roughed up. After he completed, he said not to park on floor for 3-4 days and that I should get rubber mats to protect from hot tire lift.
This isn’t my first epoxy floor and I never had issues from hot tire lift or adding rubber mats to protect a floor I just paid $3,000 for!
Thoughts?
