Can you apply epoxy paint over concrete that has been sealed?

I just had the concrete slab poured for my garage and originally wasn't going to have it sealed. I was going to apply an epoxy paint over it, "but" when I saw how nice (looks like glass) the concrete floor came out. I decided to have the concrete sealed.

Next, can you polish concrete and if so, how?

I've been reading many posts on different products available to put on the concrete (For example, race deck), but the concrete looks like "glass" and I'll be welding in the garage. (Don't think the plastic products will hold up very well to welding.)

Any tips/ideas to dress up my concrete floor that looks like glass?

YES

Do a search in this forum. There are a bunch of threads on polishing concrete. Epoxy and plastic tiles aren't going to hold up well to welding/fab work.

Yes you can, but, the sealer must be completely removed. I removed mine using a Edco surfacer w/ diamond blades. My 40' x 40' floor took me 30 hrs to remove my sealer :shocking:

If you are going to be doing LOTS of welding, I would just keep the sealer on the floor.
