Hi All,

I finally got all my drywall up so I'm starting to call for quotes on the floor of our new 24x34' garage. I'm a little confused about something.

I'm confused, is the polyaspartic product type only ever used as a clear top coat?

Also, is it better to diamond grind a new slab or just acid etch it (if I do it myself)

Grind your slab.
Polyaspartic coatings are the clearest of all the clears and dry very fast.
Once cured they exhibit characteristics similar to aliphatic urethanes and polyureas, only better.

So to answer your question... professionals use it because of solids range and the fast turn around, time is money.

Hi, we regularly sell floors that use polyaspartic as both a base coat and a topcoat. They are normally used where fast drying or low temperature curing is needed since these coatings run about double the price of epoxy systems.

If you would like pricing or info, kindly contact us directly at below.

Thanks Armorpoxy, was just curious. We are probably good with an epoxy base and polyaspartic top coat.

We will just be doin light duty/medium duty work in the garage on our outboard and vehicles, oh and storage :)

Our recommendation is to use the Military Grade two part topcoat. It's thicker and less expensive. 90% of our customers use this.
