Hey guys, just finished diamond grinding w/ a diamabrush attachment. I have a few questions/observations at this point. I noticed quite a bit of additional hairline cracks that I missed while patching or either opened up. There's also quite a few divots. Do I need to patch these hairline cracks and divots? Or will the epoxy level out on these? Also noticed a bit of dirt in the divots and a light film on a few spots of the floor. Floor also has the white residue. I'm looking to prime coat tomorrow night, so any suggestions on how to clean without using water and having to wait for it to dry would be greatly appreciated! Finally, there's a lot of darker gray areas with some light gray areas, do I need the entire floor to have the light gray profile? Don’t see any pics. No the floor doesn’t need the same sheen. As long as you did the whole thing. Go get an electric leaf blower to blow it out. Hopefully you used a vacuum or it’s going to get everywhere and take several passes. No the epoxy will not fill divots. Well it won’t fill them up like you are thinking. It will cover the cracks but if they keep moving it will rip the epoxy.

Mop it with a rag mop if you have one. not a lot of water. it will dry before tomorrow. It will take up some of that white dust. Think i mopped mine like 3 times because i didnt use a vacuum when i did the grinding. That didnt look like a bad divot. i'd just leave it alone unless you are a perfectionist.

I am a perfectionist lol. Went to mix the metallic color to let it sit and the pigment was way off. It was supposed to be white and turned out completely gold. So i called them and they're replacing with a light gray. Delivery is mid next week, so I have time to wash the floor now.

Looks like you have time to fill those divots. Not sure what’s best to use. Maybe floor leveler? Mix a little and fill each divot. Make sure the mop is not raggy and leaving pieces. I just used water and kept changing the buckets. Mine was this time of year as well and I was stressing about the temp. It all went fine. Highly recommend buying measured line buckets and section off floor to match the number of buckets. This way you can mix part two accurately and don’t run short.

I filled the divots yesterday afternoon and diamabrush before I returned the rental. Definitely have time to mop. The kit I have is measured appropriately to utilize all contents of each mixture. They also provided 7 gallon buckets, so I could add all 6 gallons of both full kits to one bucket if I wanted. It's going to be light gray metallic with dark gray metallic swirls. Because I'll be mixing colors and swirling, I'm not really concerned with color variation and don't need to mix the pigments between the two full light gray kits. Since I am applying the dark gray on top and swirling in, I'll need to work quick and complete the entire 600sqft at one time. I bought 18 inch rollers and squeegees to assist.
