The Home Despot sells rustoleum epoxy kit for $100 per 250 sq ft.
Vendors advertising on this site sell it for about $300 per 250 sq ft

What am I missing? It home despot stuff missing something? Is the other stuff THAT much better?

Thanks!

Go to the top of the page and click SEARCH. Type in Rustoleum and select the flooring section. Read for about an hour then return to this post and tell us what you think.

I think it is important to note there is a big difference between the water-based Rustoleum Epoxy Shield junk that HD sells and the solvent-based Rustoleum Professional Epoxy Shield. I used the Rustoleum Pro on my floor and absolutely love it. Looks great and very tough.

I have had 3 of my buddies install the kits from Homedepot. Every one of them regrets it. all three are experiencing hot tire pick up.

I had to order it from Amazon also. At that time they had free shipping, but it looks like that is not the case at the moment. If you decide to go with the Rustoleum Pro you might be able to have a local retailer order it for you. Go to http://www.rustoleum.com/CBGCorporate.asp?sn=lr and you can get a list of retailers in your area that carry Rustoleum products. Before I ordered mine from Amazon I called a few places to get some prices for comparsion. Several of them were willing to order the product for me.

I used rustoleum pro from menards. To each his own I'm happy with it and tell everyone I can to save some money and go this route.
Hot tire pick up seems to happen to all the brands and most of the time I would bet its due to poor prep. Its been a hot summer here in Indiana and my floor has had no issues.

You probably need to talk to Scotty or Christine. We sell coatings products but we tend to be on the high end of the high end. Here is some comparison information on different products on the market.

[Scotty and Christine sell high end product too and support their products incredibly well]

Keep in mind a mil is 1/1000th of an inch. An average sheet of cheap printer paper is 4 mils thick.

I am all over the place on what to do. Epoxy- BLT sheet, racedeck, porcelain tile. Fortunately, I've got a few weeks to think about it while the bank loan for the new house processes.

If we have not already sent you samples, I am happy to send you samples of the BLT, our Polyurea, and two different types of tiles (two of each) just drop me an email with your contact info.
