epoxy primer spray can

Does any one know of any epoxy primer that comes in a spray can? There are times when l have a small job to paint and don't want to go through the hassle and expense of mixing some up in the paint gun

Yes you can get a 2k epoxy primer in a can. It isn't cheap. Apparently you have to shake it hard enough to split the containment and the. Mix the components. It will have a limited pot life once that is done obviously.

I have yet to purchase any. I've been td you have to be careful because it is not unheard of for you to end up with a new can that has already been mixed accidentally and therefore worthless.

The Eastwood stuff works great but the can is only good for one use so try to do all of the priming at one time.

My NAPA store sells a single part epoxy primer in their automotive paint section. No mixing, just pour what you don't use back in the can'

George, where the epoxy in a spray can is an option, if you don't use the entire can you've just wasted the remainder as it will harden in the can. Given their price of $20+ per can, it doesn't take much waste where it makes more sense to use the epoxy you already have. Mix up a batch and either brush or roll it on to provide protection until you can get to spraying the entire panel later..

Walmarts and the depots have the epoxy appliance paints at decent price,,,only 3 colors though...perfect for the small jobs,,,

I felt like the 2 part stuff-in-a-can was a joke when it first came out. At first I thought, 'great something that I don't need to mix a cup of primer' then when I looked at how when you activated it, you better use the can, THEN I asked the price, which at this time it was new technologie at least to automotive iguess, I almost fell to the floor.
At bigger shops where there are 10-15 cars going on at one time to the least, I can almost see the 2 part primers in a can working and saving money. If all the techs were on the same page, it might work out, but I was bored once and figured the cost of mixing up decent primer and spraying vs. using the rattle can and the differance was minimal. Ok long rant over I'll shutup now lol!
