Epoxy Question

I finished painting my floor, and when I was about half way done I noticed that
the paint was starting to dry in some spots. When I checked it this morning, the first half I painted still had several spots that have a matte finish and some parts were semi gloss. The other half is all semi gloss without any matte spots. If I use the clear showroom finish stuff will it give the floor a uniform finish?

Mine is doing the same thing, I bought the Urethane clear so I am gonna put that on around 11-12:00 tonight, I'll let you know how that goes.

Are you in RI also? Just noticing the "401"

Mine did the same thing... on the first coat. I put down the second coat and it made a huge difference.

I just figured the 401 was your area code anyway I put one coat of clear on, Legacy Industrial brand and it helped a lot, waiting for second coat to clear and it should be fine. I wish I had an epoxy clear and not the urethane but its supposedly better. "Dry" Looking spots went away anyway after the clear.

Every floor is a little different. The dry spots you are referring to are either areas where you applied the coating a little thinner or the concrete was a little more "open".

In either case, a second coat of colored or clear will usually take care of it.

I put down the clear after work yesterday and it turned out great! No more matte spots on the floor anymore. I was worried about all the talk about it being slippery when wet, so I checked it this morning before work , and the grass was wet from the rain so my feet were definately wet and it was not slippery at all. Maybe because the guy that finished the concrete just used a hand trowel to finish it so there is somewhat of a texture on the floor. Maybe if I dumped a bucket of water on it it might be slippery, but I am pleased with it.
