My garage is under construction & we had some spalling problems with the pour. There was probably too much air in the mix & it may have been trowelled too hard or fast. The concrete company has assumed responsibility for this & has scarified & ball peened the surface & recovered with patchcrete. The patchcrete is now spallilng but I think this can be patched successfuly with more patchcrete. Has anyone here ever used u-coatit or another exopy coating on patchcrete? How smooth does the surface need to be for racedeck or other such tiles? Thanks for any info, help or suggestions.

I hope you never plan on installing a lift or jacking up a heavy car in you're garage I would tell them to tear it out and repour. tell them The slab does not meet you're lift's specs due to there screw up refund my money or repour. They may say it is just cosmetic if they do have someone take a sample and tell you what the concrete is rated for I bet it is a lot less then what you paid for
