My install is more or less 19 months old. The product used was the regular Rustoleum available at Lowes. Two coats plus the Rustoleum clear product. I am generally pleased, however, I recently noticed that I have a spot that is going bad. Not too big now but it appears that it will probably grow to 12" x12" or larger? The epoxy lifted, cracked and is now gone!

The cause? It does not appear to be a moisture issue. In spite of all of the proper prep work :headscrat it appears that the bad spot has a slight amount of concrete dust up under it. :wtf: For now it appears to be an isolated area. :wtf:

The Question: Has anyone every "touched up" an epoxy floor? Sand and feather the edges... Did it take? Suggestions and guideance appreciated.

In retrospect: Honestly, for those considering what to do with there garage... If I had to do it again, I would seriously consider a Racedeck floor. The epoxy with two coats and the clear coat cost me something north of $700 for the materials, supplies and renting a pod to move my stuff into while I redid the flooring. This does not include the four weekends it took to complete. Comparatively, I believe that I could have finished the Racedeck in a weekend. It now appears that the prices of Racedeck tiles has come down to a point where it is more feasible now to buy and install the modular garage floor tiles than when I did my floor. Plus I could have had a bit more style :pimpflash and if I ever left the house could have take the Racedeck with me...
