Epoxy Sand Paint-what is the product? I see it all over Facebook and it looks too good to be true. Any comments?

Epoxy gets mixed with other stuff all the time. Might mix it with sawdust and use it for wood filler. Mix it with mica and it sparkles. Mix it with mat and it's fiberglass. We've been adding sand directly to epoxy for "grip" on sailboats and other slick coverings. You can get specialty "anti-slip" agents for it you can roll it on your floor and it's not as slick when wet, I think dry sand would work just fine...
IMHO, where epoxy doesn't do great is long term in direct sunlight. It's generally not UV stable, so painting anything with epoxy in a high UV environment hasn't worked well for me. Even "UV stable" epoxy, it's "better" but won't survive in the type of sun we've got down here.
