Hey Guys,

I am having a helluva time trying to decide between epoxy or motofloor.

I have a 1100 sq ft garage and would like to make the best decision but it's been a struggle.

Right now motofloor is on sale: https://www.costco.com/MotoFloor-Modular-Garage-Flooring-Tiles.product.100009181.html

Epoxy install prices range from $2.75 to $4.75 sq/ft.

Based on price - motofloor is a better deal...

But I am worried about the noise with motofloor and tiles buckling.

It would be great to get some feedback from epoxy users who have had epoxy down for 5 or ten years to get a better opinion on longevity.

Any feedback of insight would be helpful. Thanks!

hello

I can answer some of your concerns with modular flooring ( Disclosure... we manufacture the Motofloor garage line for Costco. It is not the same as RaceDeck but it does have some very important patented design features) .

As for noise, it's really not an issue.. every floor has its own unique sound. For the small percentage of customers who do, we recommend using a synthetic type landscape felt under the floor. Most all buckling issues are due to improper installation. We'd be happy to help you if you choose Motofloor for your garage, just give us a call.
thanks

I have a 600 SF garage with lift on 6 year old concrete. I actually use my garage to work on my cars, so the floor is stained and oil or brake fluid or coolant will continue to get dropped on it and in the snowy winter a dripping snow covered dirt car will get worked on sometimes. I am not sure whether tile or epoxy would be best. Any recommendations? I like easy but if easy in the short term is hard in the long term than it is not easy to me.

With proper installation neither noise nor buckling should be an issue with a quality garage tile
