Epoxy vs Racedeck

My garage is getting closer to completion and i still can't decide on Epoxy vs Racedeck. The garage will house both of my cars that I drive on a regular basis. I live where there is snow so there will be melting snow. I have a floor drain installed. The garage will also be used to wash my cars in. I love how the Racedeck looks but am concerned about all the grit and grime that will get in the nooks and crannies of the RD. I would be getting the Freeflow if I go RD. With epoxy i'm worried about lifting. Epoxy is probably easier to keep clean. What are people's thoughts?

Thanks

You're going to get pro Rd responses from fans of RD, and fans of epoxy are going to say epoxy is better. Its been covered a bunch of times already, and it really just comes down to what you want.

I do epoxy as my business, so I'm partial to that. You can always put tiles overtop of epoxy, and I sometimes do that for guys who store snowmobiles, or tractors part of the year, but want the look, and finish of epoxy.

That's what I was thinking as well. Do the epoxy and then down the road do RD if I want to.

I had the sale dilemma. Last house had epoxy. Looked great for a whole, but I experienced hot tire puck-up. For the new house I bought acid stain samples to see how it looked... Just didn't really dig it. Ended up with this...

Dealing with RaceDeck was a great experience. If you like the look, don't hesitate. Wish I would have went this route when I first built the house. I searched threads like this and drove myself nuts for about a year.

I had Race Deck for around 12 years. Bought it that long ago and I really loved it.

However, I needed a change and went with a professionally installed epoxy floor. I love it. So easy to clean and personally, I was done with the diamond plate look.

Race Deck is a great product for sure, so is a nice epoxy floor.

In order of my preference

Polish concrete, acid stain and then a sealer or clear

Epoxy coated

Race deck
