Epoxymaster prep and application

Hi everyone,

first time poster

I will be using Epoxymaster kit from costco.ca website. I have some questions that i hope someone will be able to help me with:

1) new garage floor (~4 months) - i will rent a diamond grinder and then use the included floor prep and cleaning solution (or is this not needed?) i rather do more work and be on the safe side, than have a messed up floor after

2) i read about cutting a line at the threshold of the garage door and taping it, and then lifting the tape after applying the epoxy. does someone have a picture so i can visualize what is meant.

3) there are 3 locations where wood meets the floor (garage door frame) - do i apply the epoxy over this after cleaning/tape it off/use a filler where they touch?

if you have any other tips i may have overlooked, please feel free to provide them, i will gladly take all the help i can get

1) The floor prep and cleaning solution is not necessary if you are grinding. Use the cleaning solution before grinding if you have oil spills.

2) No pictures of the process. Just chalk a line or tape a line for a guide and use a concrete crack chasing blade on a small grinder. Don't go deep, just score the concrete with it. When you epoxy, tape a line (duct tape works well on concrete) at the outside edge of the scored line. Remove the tape about 30 minutes after you apply the epoxy.

3) Pictures? Where wood meets the floor, you can usually epoxy right up to the wood with a chip brush. You can tape the wood if you prefer.
