EPS foam ceiling

I'm going to be doing this and wondered if anyone else has done the same. Did it help with holding your heat in better?

I used some on my walls and then covered it with OSB on the inside. The outside got covered with Foil-faced OSB then vinyl sided over it.

The attic space I store stuff in, I used R13 fiberglass insulation but it was a 2x6 space. I added some sheets of EPS (polystyrene) on top and then the flooring material.


It works, it's better than nothing but you do need to cover it with something. Depending on where you live in Ohio, you maybe able to find some 2nds of foil faced polyiso which would work better.

I called them Saturday. They are close by and said they had plenty in stock. I like the foil cover. I think it reflect nicely also.
