The one I ordered is a "all way extension rule" Usa made lufkin, and it has a sliding extension on one side that slides out of both sides of the first section.

Aah, so with that one you don't have to unfold the section to use just the extension. Hmm, might need one of those. :)

My order (100129113) is still "processing," but I did request box art of a tuxedo cat using a grinder.

My order arrived today. Some USA Craftsman & Channellock. Couldn't resist some box art. :)

Thanks again HJE & Jori.

I was able to make the quick 30 minute drive and stop by this morning to pickup my order in person and check out this cool place. I'm ashamed to say this was my first time checking them out in person.

If any of you guys are traveling through Kansas City or coming to town for another event, take a couple of hours and stop in. It's an awesome place for anyone that loves cool USA tools. They let us check out their basement and 2 floors upstairs above the main floor. I found 1940's SK knurl based sockets in the basement, a giant old ratchet from the 1930's? upstairs, and just a ton of stock and inventory of great stuff. Tons of SK and Wright in stock, including a 9-1/8" Socket :wtf:

Super cool people, neat old family owned store in an original historic building in downtown Kansas City. Easy access from the interstate, and easy parking in the back of the store off of Central Street.

I've always wondered what the application is for those huge sockets. Is that like 3-1/2" drive?

Got my order in Friday. I was telling my wife about the box art option. She told me to request something next time. Better believe I will. Love the quality of what I got, too.

Visited Kansas City this weekend with the wife. Before we stopped in the hotel we made a quick trip to Epstein's. Steve the owner was wonderful, as was his son, and the other gentleman at the front counter. I was up on the second and third floors looking around... elated was an understatement.

I just wish I had more time to look around. I asked if there was a spare room in the place I could rent out. I could spend endless hours looking around. I purchased some hammers, prybars, etc . I wish we had a place like this in Chicago. The prices are fantastic as well.

Just got notification that my order for 42 pounds of steel finally is on the way :bounce: They had to wait for a couple items to come in before they could complete my order. I actually think their tactic is very effective as it caused me to spend another $80 on add-ons  :D

Already looking forward to receive mine :) I did notice, though, that they charged my credit card over a week ago which is a first to me. Not a big deal as it occurred after my previous statement cycle ended but HJE is well known for not charging until after the order ship out. I’m sure it probably was just an one-time hiccup. I’ve always enjoyed doing business with them and they are very easy to deal with

We had 1.5" of rain this morning and the mailman brought a big package to the shop! I've been waiting to try the SK Flexzone sockets and figured this would be a good time to get them. I also got the extractors and some "Closeouts". Thank-you to Jory and the crew for doing this.

I received my order yesterday, the extractors, a hammer, some rotary burrs and scrapers. They must have sold a lot of those extractor sets. And here’s hoping none of them ever have to be used.

According to UPS my order was delivered this afternoon, but I’m stuck at work on the second half of a 14 hr shift, won’t be home until 2100, and have to get up at 0300 tomorrow for another 14 hr day :yikes:

I might be awake enough to open it, maybe...

They must’ve got a ton of orders. Still waiting for my order to ship, it’s no rush but the suspense is killing me- I ordered on the 4th. I sent a note tonight just to make sure it didn’t slip thru the cracks (and asked them to throw in some box art after seeing all yours!)

Best believe I'll be requesting box art for my next HJE order. That is really awesome.

My order delivered yesterday. Think the ratchet and one of the screwdrivers will go to my son as I am helping him build up his tool box.

Apparently prior to opening the package, I discovered that one of pry bars got a tad curious with their new home after the big brown truck dropped them off at my door ;)

Would appreciate an update to order 100129113. Status remains "processing" for 2+ weeks. Two emails sent. Thanks.

I wonder if my order is being held because the Speedgrip pliers are not yet in stock. Did anyone else who ordered Speedgrip pliers receive the remainder of their order in a split shipment or are the being held?

Interesting. I thought they said upthread that they would contact folks to determine whether they want to split or hold shipment. Oh well. Guess I'll give it another few days then consider having them cancel the line in the order if no ETA.

Well can take a while to get back to you. They are probably waiting to hear back from supplier for an ETA so they can relay the info back to you. They got slammed so for a quick response always better to give them a call and they'll answer any questions for ya.

I had my order held until all was in stock (didn’t order the speedgrips though). It finally shipped this week and it’s sitting in a UPS truck not 10 miles from me. No Saturday UPS delivery here, so gotta wait until Monday.

Filled my cart 3 times. Each time I returned my cart was empty. Didn't try a 4th time.

Ended up saving me a bunch of money, but don't think it helped Epsteins much...

I never saw anything... not a big deal. I can wait.

I didn’t get any emails either until the shipping confirmation. I expected they would be swamped so no big deal.
