Seems odd that you get 6 pieces more in metric for the same price as the SAE or that for 20 bucks less you can still get more metric pieces with the same socket and extension. Either way these have me reconsidering a set of x-frame wrenches.

SAE sockets get bigger quicker, and those bigger sockets are expensive (and, even in the states, I bet SAE doesn't sell as well as Metric)

The auto industry is moving more and more to metric and proprietary fasteners (due to European mergers/partnerships), but SAE still sneaks in.
Many other trades in the US are still using SAE as the primary fastener.

Yes. Traditionally, it takes awhile to fill all of the orders placed. Epstein's works hard & fast, and suppliers usually try ship product to them quickly. Delays will happen though. Wrench sets are a common item though.
