Shipping confirmation received on some Wright stuff. Most were out of stock items so kudos to HJE and Wright. My Wright #3440 compact 3/8" ratchet gets so much use I decided to get it some company .

#1 daughter has already staked 1st right of refusal on the contents of the inbound box from HJE. Hope she keeps her hands off the #224 1/4 metric set

Thank goodness for delays..... mine is still awaiting the SK birdbeak pliers (I assume), so I had time to add some stuff..... even more time to continue to "browse":lol_hitti

My order still shows processing. I bought the 21 pc metric SK metal box set so I guess S-K is still putting those together.

Got a call that the new SK beak nose? pliers are on backorder till at least August. So I'll be waiting awhile. Actually kind of works out for me. There are a couple of things I want to add now.

This is really frustrating. Everytime we have done one of these days SK is always the hold up for some reason.

Same here, but I don't really care. No rush, gives me more time to keep adding stuff!:bounce:

It always takes longer when you order off the menu.
I suspect that my small order is being held up by a prybar and a rebuild kit. I knew this going in to the order and am fine waiting as long as it takes.

The fact that HJE is willing to offer the entire catalog from their suppliers and not just select stock items is one of the things that makes them different from most other places.

I participate in the Epstein's Day event to support a great family owned business (same reason I shop at True Value or Ace instead of Home Depot when I can). The truth is there isn't a single item on my order that I need, so it doesn't matter how long the supplier takes to fill the order. I have no problem stepping to the back of the line because my goal was already met when I pressed the submit button on my order.

I missed it this year. I feel bad. I wanted to collect a shirt from every year. $25 for an XL if anyone wants to sell theirs. Unworn of course.

X2....

I don't wrench as much as I used to. I'm just trying to help out HJE and SK. ...and fill in some holes in my toolbox. I think half my stuff wasn't in stock. As long as I get it in a couple of months I'm good.

I only mean it's frustrating in a sense that I really want sk to succeed and making people wait weeks for their order isn't ever good for business.

Jori has said before that any order they send in for wright they almost always have it in a few days. SK on the other hand.......well we've almost all had our orders held up a week or longer because of something in the SK catalog.

Hooray! My box arrived today. Well packed and all there! Even got the box art.

I got the 29pc drill bits, the SK angle wrench clearance set, some Torx sets and feeler gages for me and the nephews, a small assortment of burrs, some HJE pliers and multibit screwdriver, and other assorted stuff.

Thanks to Epstein's for a great service.

My small haul arrived today: Jobber drill bit set, Chinese made SK hat, free Lufkin tape measure, 24 inch long 1/2 drive X 3/8 locking impact extension, long nose slip joint pliers, pointed nose slip joint pliers, 1/4 inch drive 16mm & 5/8 shallow six point sockets, stubby 12 & 14mm wrenches to complete a $7 flea market set:lol: 1/4 drive extra long (about 4 inches) 10 & 11mm six point sockets, and the long nose tongue & groove, aka beak nose pliers that others have said are on back order. I guess it paid to order early.:D
The Epstein's crew did a real good job of packing the tools this year.

Do note that the box sets were "pre-release" so hopefully SK can at least give the date of when they plan to release them would be nice.
Yeah I knew those were being made FOR this event like "to order" but a few days ago I think Jori said that they were expecting the boxes any day now. Just wondering if that's changed.

Recieved everything but the SK pliers.

The Wilde snips are excellent, I'm going to use the small ones for scissors. I got a Wilde 18mm wrench since I only have one that size.

The Enders pry bar is going to be a scraper, it's that sharp.

If anyone from HJE is listening, I'm disappointed in the China SK hat. If the USA tape measures were gone, I'd rather have nothing. It's going to Goodwill. I know, I know, some one is going to jump me for knocking some thing someone sent as a goodwill measure. So be it.

Forgot to mention, here is the Wilde 18 compared to a Wright and a 17 VV Craftsman. It's pretty plain Jane, but it feels good and a set would be a good less costly alternative to the higher end brands. Just my first impression.

And another thing. The SK #2 bits seem to fit very good. Haven't tried them, but boy they sure fit down tight in a screw. I hope they hold up.

I ordered mine knowing that the sets were being custom made. HUE has never let me down, I will continue to wait patiently

Hot off the presses... I called this morning to update my payment info and inquired about the eta for the SK kits. They called SK and confirmed all but one of mine had shipped to HJE and should be heading my way sometime next week, along with the rest of my order :rocker:
