Now, how is it I didn't see those Grace screwdrivers. I need a set of those. Added to the list for next time I guess.
Got my shipping notice earlier today. Hopefully early next week I'll have my stuff.
Good screwdrivers, even if you go in, you can't see everything.

Requested box art, someone at HJE wrote "box art, see comments" on the packing slip for the packer

No art on the box:cry:
Pretty sure they just missed it/misread it.
A few years back I ordered for pickup, and they accidentally shipped it. That is when I realized it was cheaper for me to do that, then to walk in the door down there, LOL.

I know,

But my last order had the most fantastic art work ever (ordered Eagle Grips, and got a box with painting of "living" eagle grips cracking open a can of cola), so I was super looking forward to this box art.

Maybe my request was a bit too out there?

Order arrived yesterday. No box painting (I was in a hurry this year) but definitely some box sculpture to accommodate a broom and rolling magnet. Pickup finger tool (thanks Squankum), Crescent nutdrivers, assorted Channellocks, assorted Pratt & Reed screwdrivers, a pin vise, some paint pens, and soft covers for my Robogrips. Mystery box items were a 3/8 universal joint and doe wrench from the WW2 collection.

My small order......

A question for you, Mr. 48548:

Drag link sockets! What are they used for? When the time comes, do they actually work, or do they just cam out of the groove? I've always been mystified by them. I'm sure it's for something heavy duty somewhere I've never dealt with, maybe agricultural.

Not 48548, but one use is adjusting drag links on older cars and Jeeps. Drag link was part of the steering system. Those sockets were part of toolkits or maintenance kits for the old Army jeeps.

The drag link socket is also a key tool for removing the swivel bolt on some vises. Think of it as a giant screwdriver you can really get some torque on. Put it in an impact, or on a breaker bar, and abuse stuff.

We got a couple of them from my grandfather and my dad kept calling them drag link sockets but never explained what they were for. My first serious job was in a dairy, and we had conveyor chains that had screws on each link that were probably three-quarter inch diameter heads. As we were using them to drag stacks of milk cartons in cases around the building I assume that’s what the drag link socket was for, taking those links apart. Bigger bits for bigger Chains, maybe in mining applications. Made perfect sense til I got to GJ.

Received my order today! Nice to have a full set of screwdrivers again. Box art is “3 dachshunds doing something adventurous”

Great box art. Looks like quite the adventure! Got my pre-shipment notice. Can't wait for mine to ship.

My order showed up last week, just opened it this weekend. Its like Christmas in July.

Got 4 delphos funnels- I can't ever find a funnel when I need one, and these are classics. 2 each of the eagle grips (10wr and 11r with swivel feet). The eagle grips are absolutely polished way too much for a tool that gets abused. They are more like works of art than tools. They are just really well made.

Crescent wrenches, hammers, some sledge handles and a new sledge. Level, sleever bars, and a couple extension cords. I wish they had more of the red white and blue cords in the 50' length, easy to spot my cord if someone borrows it.

Got a set of the tekton hard handled screwdrivers, lang hose clamp pliers set (never have had a set- but I needed a set twice last year- so this means I'll never need them) , and a fancy lang snap ring pliers/ that looks more like a puller than pliers. Set of mayhew easy outs- which look very much like my old snap on set, which is another tool I wouldn't mind if I don't need.

Shovel and broom for the shop, and just a bunch of other odds and ends for work. A couple wright 3/8 contour handled ratchets- I've got matco branded ones and always liked that handle. Order shipped in two boxes and were packed securely- and a good thing, because one of the boxes looked like it was a rough trip from Kansas City.

My youngest daughter has laid claim to the tote bag, which will cart her laptop around Missouri S&T this fall.

Thanks so much to all you guys at epsteins. Its nice to do business with people that are passionate about their work.

And I would like to know what this picture is on my medal. Because I've held it 4 different directions, and I'm still not sure.

Got my order many days ago! No artwork request.

Every Bondhus SK T-handle Allen wrench made in that weird non-metric measuring system based on some old guy's foot.

Mayhew pick set, No. 13094. Made in USA and a good deal! HJE $53.50 plus shipping (and your other stuff softens that shipping price blow), Amazon price $61.40 with free shipping if you're a cult member.

I include the tape measure because I've found it hard to shop for this kind of pick, because there's not much info on the internet and Amazon keeps listing the size of the box things come in.

I've used only small picks for decades, and everybody else seemed to be using these large ones, too, so I figured it was time for me to get some and see how handy they turn out to be. My beef is a trend I've seen among various brands of tools: Look at our ergonomic shape! Look at how it is a "dual composite" of two different materials! Yeah, but both of them are slippery!

I bought a Mayhew Dominator small pry bar a few months ago. (It's a very sturdy screwdriver.) Its all-black handle was just as slick as the black parts of these picks' handles. I bought a similar small Dominator about a decade earlier and the handle is soft and rubbery and grippy. Maybe these handles will break in with use and become grippy, but be it Wera only putting grippy in some parts of their fancy handles, or these, or Harbor Freight's cheap and expensive attempts at copying the Snap On Dual 80, dagnabbit, make it grippy and non-slip.

Looks like it was for swimming. Goggles with a cap. You can see the lane lines in the background. That thing that looks like a diving board is the little platform that swimmers launch themselves from at the start of a race.

No! Those are welding goggles!

Just kidding, now I understand those cables. Those are lane ropes and floats, and starting blocks.

Now it makes sense. I was wondering what handcuffs had to do with a football field, and some strange stringed musical instrument.

And finally, my newest pride and joy, soon to take its place on the shop wall. Box art.

Box arrived today. I asked for donuts, cake, ice cream etc. Postal worker said it looks like someone is having a birthday. I said no but I'm getting a present and explained it to him and he said that's great customer service.

I got the shirt and my card, 2 screwdrivers, three "rusty" S-K wrenches, the WW2 grapplers, an S-K tool roll, the midget nut drivers, a couple center punches, some insert bits, and they threw in the Tekton and S-K be stickers. The Stanley soft face hammer is my 2 mystery bags rolled into one.

My daughter came up with the box art request: Baby Yoda stealing—and eating— Totoro’s umbrella. It’s just amazing. I may just start ordering empty boxes with art requests. Maybe I can pay extra next year to have them paint the inside of the box so our friends at the postal service don’t scratch the art!

As for goodies, I ordered a set of Tekton torx drivers, the Crescent nut drivers that were too good a deal to pass up, a WW2 pickup tool, some surplus twine from the Korean War and some Magnolia detail brushes. My mystery bag was a WW2 universal joint. And I think the stubby Tekton drivers were a bonus as well.

Those of yall that ordered the Cresent drivers, do yours stink to high heaven? The smell is familiar but I don't know what it is. Any ideas?

what was the total order count? did we manage to keep the Epstein's peeps busy for a bit?

Today is the 21st of July, and people are still receiving packages. Between some of us who ordered some stuff they carry that was out of stock (Wright stuff), and all the box art, I think they have been pretty hectic and need something cold in the drawing hands.

I also have some artist friends, and am thinking I should send them down some canvases. If they ever repainted the inside of their store, we wouldn't see them again with all the time/art work they could do. LOL

All of the artwork is awesome. Quite the talent.

I'm so boring I couldn't even think of anything to request. I'll ask my son next year.
