My stuff from HJE Day 2023 showed up earlier today! I requested something like "Bob Dylan sitting at a kitchen table, smoking a cigarette and working on lyrics to a song. Maybe he just finished some apple pie or something."

My lagniappe items were a Wilde koozie, a puffy Lang sticker, and a big, BADASS Channellock sticker that I put on a laptop almost immediately. All items and tools were in good shape, and were packed with care.

Thanks, Jori et al! Box art is my two boys. Also, thank you for combining my two orders into one package!

I need to snag that Xcelite set it’s been on my wish list.

I bought two of those Stanley mallets on a previous order, one green and one white, and swapped faces to make two dual density mallets.

I received my package today! Everything was packaged very good. We recently had a son and our last name is Seals so I asked for seals to be painted on my box along with a baby seal. I received a trophy for best box art request. Thanks Jori and crew for another great Epstein Day!

What's the thing that looks like a corkscrew but used by a sadistic urologist?

Wrench knife? Offset scrapers? Leather paperweights? Man, I missed so much stuff.
2023 EPSTEIN'S DAY RAFFLE!

Well done! Pail guy almost headbutted a stack of old pallets at one point, so thank God he had enough caffeine in his system to avoid it at the last second. Cheers to camera operators, editor(s), and everyone involved.

Jori,

Did you mention to the contestants that you also put their addresses and credit card numbers on those papers? LOL

Good idea and fun to watch non-the-less.

Got my box today and I didn't even know they'd shipped it!

Left to right:

Hyde 5-in-1 (Canada)
Hyde Chisel Putty Knife (China)
Ko-ken 1/2" dr. double swivel joint (Japan)
Channellock 6-in-1 (America)
T shirt (America) -- and it's not super thick! Which means at this time of year I have a chance of wearing it in a month or two. Big Al (the cat) has a sticker on his helmet that reads, "I (heart) meow union."

I… I don’t even have anything prepared… So unexpected.. Where do I begin when accepting such a prestigious award…

IMG_0688.jpeg

With a full and grateful heart, I humbly accept the 2023 Epstein’s Day Philosophy Award. I would like to thank my wife for never looking at my credit card statements. Most of all, I would like to thank Jori for being my muse and the unwitting inspiration behind my curious box art requests.

IMG_0687.jpeg

As for this year’s purchase:
  • Warwood splitting wedge
  • Stanley soft face hammer
  • Grayvik nail puller
  • Lang pocket pry bars
  • Wilde hose clamp pliers
  • PEC combination square (probably my favorite item after struggling with cheap, plastic squares for far too long)
  • HJE t-shirt
  • Bonus HJE candle swag. Not sure where this will live yet. Romantic late night wrenching in the garage? Candlelit bubble baths polishing my tools? Wait.. that doesn’t sound right. Scratch that.
Thanks Harry J Epstein Co!
