since i joined here (long time lurker, reader), read about epsteins in particular the angle wrench set discussion. a member said they were pleased w/ the set from epsteins, and I ordered one.

couldn't quite figure out the online payment thing, so called and talked w/ a guy who was a pleasure to deal with and very informative, a rarity in this day and age.

the set arrived today, professionally packaged; and must say i am very pleased with the whole experience. A nice angle wrench set to boot & they did throw in a wilde plier they were promoting (thought it was 50$ purchase, not 50$ in wilde purchase), but they sent one anyways.

for 85$ the deal can't be beat, customer service can't be beat either.

thought I would throw this out there, I'm sure some of you other junkies have bought from them, but this is my first. Like to give accolades where deserved & must say this is a first class outfit.

Thx

Next bolt I turn will be with this wrench set, so I can "justify" the purchase, LOL.

tool review (since they did toss this one in) for the Wilde 403P, 10" channel lock pliers

A two piece designed wrench that has a very sturdy clamping capability. There is little give w/ the appropriately machined handles when clamping hard. The teeth milling seems is set at an appropriate depth and the tool displays only one moving part in the slide for adjustment. A very basic design with all metal handle grooved in a tire tread pattern. Pliers are of apparent modeled design of what you would expect and looks adequate to perform job function w/ satisfactory results. The adjustment grooves are deep and give first impression that this tool won't slip out of position in the midst of application.

Yeah, you compare this thread with the "Best Buy can kiss my..." thread, and there's no wonder these bricks and mortar stores well... these bricks and mortar stores just don't get it.

We just did a group buy of Wilde products through Epstein's. Make a second mark on your calendar for July 4th, because we'll once again be combining our celebration of the nation with an Epstein's Day group buy. Last year's was a great success. I need to sock away some dough for the Armstrong flex ratchets this time!
