I am preparing the shop floor for a new coating of epoxy paint. I have read many different systems and have narrowed it down to two. One paint supplier we have in FL is Scott's which have excellent house products. The other is Sherwin Williams who has their Amor Seal in a "kit" form. I'm not a big fan of the kits and have not used either brand I mentioned. They both "claim" that the result will be impressive, but that remains to be seen. Has anyone used either the SW or the Scott's Garage Epoxy coating? If so, what was your experience and how satisfied are you with the result for appearance and durability? The important factors for me, is the ease of cleaning and the lasting gloss finish.

I don't think anyone has used either of the one's you mentioned. And no one has that question today

Haven't used either of the two you mentioned.

I did a ''UCoat It'' epoxy and have been very happy with it (6 months).

I placed it in new construction, so didn't need to contend with oil stains or cracks, etc.

I did the acid etch, layer of epoxy on wet floor, second epoxy c flakes, first clear gloss with more flakes, second clear gloss.

I found the gloss layer difficult to apply evenly due to its near invisibility when rolled on. I ended up with some spots having a thicker and smooth finish vs some area where I put it on thinner and so the flake is palpable almost in a 'non-skid' kind of way.

It isn't bullet proof, but stands up to daily wear and tear well. For cleaning I have vacuumed, swept, and squeegeed at different times, and clean up is easy. Oil and what not wipes right off.
