Equivalent to Castle Muscle Grease

I hope this is the correct section to post this, I suppose lube is a tool

Anybody know what an equivalent to Castle Muscle Grease would be? Castle products are mostly unavailable in my area as far as I can see (never came across them for sale, or at any past employers). There is supposed to be a Canadian distributor in Ontario, but they seem pretty smalltime and there is nothing at all listed for my area.

The description from Castles website says:

Castle® Muscle Grease™ takes over as a lubricant where lithium and calcium grease leave off. The aluminum complex base of Muscle Grease™ enables it to excel in heavy load, extreme pressure situations and over a wide range of temperatures (0° F to 350° F) without melting, hardening, or thinning. It is 100% waterproof and resists corrosion from acids, alkalis, and salt. Muscle Grease™ sprays like a liquid to penetrate, and then sets up as durable grease.

It seems that Eric at SMA swears by the product for rust prevention on rotors and other general lube. Im in the rust belt too, so if it works for him, it should work for me.

I use a lot of Fluid Film, LPS 1 &2, and Rust Check and Loctite Anti Sieze, but the Castle product looks like it applies like FF but has EP lube and anti-corrosion properties too, sort of an all in one, easy to apply product.

It seems more "fluid" than a Moly spray then forms a nice protective gel film for protection..

Looks like a winner, but it is impossible to find. Any equivalent from LPS, Loctite, or Zep? I have access to all those products.

You can use regular old anti-seize in place of Muscle Grease. I bet he does it because its faster than brushing it on.

Ya I use a lot of AS now. Im looking for a quicker, cleaner, multipurpose aerosol solution.

I see youre up in TO, so youll likely have a lot more luck finding somebody with it than I do down here. The info that I could find on the distributor shows them to be in the Fort Erie area, but it looks like a "garage based" operation.

I see a lot of that, where these smaller US companies get so called "distributors" for Canada who are just dudes in their garage, usually they dont do the product justice IMHO.

You'd be surprised, this city is brutal when you want to find something a big box store doesn't carry, and they all carry basically the same thing. Seems like all they want to sell is particle board furniture and trinkets.

I was looking for 'engine assembly lube' a couple of weeks ago and nobody at any car parts store I called had even heard of it. Before the NAPA guy could hang up the phone, I asked him if they sold Permatex and gave him the product number and he got one transferred to the store for me.

Fortunately there are some good specialty stores in the GTA, it's finding them that's the problem. It was easier in the days of the phone book.

Crazy! As bad as our parts guys are, theyd know what assembly lube is.. Were blessed with some old school indy parts stores, staffed with oldtimers in my area, so they still can think for themselves without relying on what the "stupid" computer spits out. They also have the old school paper catalogs going back likely decades, for when you need that obscure or unlisted part. Sometimes its easy to take their knowledge for granted.
