I managed to get the 299 piece craftsman set for 287+taxes over Christmas and finally finished getting it organized....
First set I got, had them laid out on the floor organized and was waiting for my rails to come in when a water pipe burst in the apartment of the neighbor that lived above me and decided it was going to leak into my apartment...in the exact spot where I had all the sockets laid out.
These are the easy read + regular marking set and pretty much the easy read label got rusted on most of the tools. I'm not a huge fan of this type of label. I can't tell exactly how they apply it, but I think they chrome the whole thing then laser engrave the size into it making it more prone to rust.
Anyway, Sears was super helpful and actually let me return the whole set and get a new one at the same price.
Shout out to Ron at Ernst for giving me a good deal on the rails (I bought 25 of em lol). I may upgrade the 1/2" to the HD holders as some of them aren't held on that well with the lowest set.
Also, keep in mind, if you buy the 8" 13" or 18" rail the actual usable space is about an inch less as it takes into account the hook mount. I measured my stuff out and although it didn't make a huge difference it made it so I couldn't fit 1 set on a single rail.
I think there were only a couple sockets they didn't have a label for, 9/32 and 25/32, and a few others I couldn't label as I ran out of numbers. I'm gonna send an email and see if they have them though.
If you guys have any questions about the rails let me know. I threw in some of the other tools I got around the same time. I also have a new set of the craftsman 43 piece standard/metric wrench set if someone's looking for one (I ended up getting two
).
