Super excited to see this offering from Tekton.

I’m going to have to do a price comparison but it appears they are cheaper than TBW.

I also like how you can buy tool sets with the modular storage.

Yes, they are available from Ernst for a lower price than Tekton and Ernst includes the labels. They're not yet on Amazon that I can find but maybe there will be a lower price there.

I've wondered whether these can be used for pliers too.

That’s awesome. I guess the only difference is Tekton offers a variety of tool size sets whereas with Ernst it’s either a 20 tool or 40 tool set.

Another distinguishing factor is Ernst offers both magnetic and non magnetic whereas Tekton is only non magnetic.

I bought the Ernst set as soon as they were released. The spacing is a bit closer than Toolbox Widget, but still not as close as the smaller slots on the Ernst 20- or 40-wrench rail organizers.

Toolbox Widget (note the mixture of wrench organizers and screwdriver organizers, which are similar in spacing):

I'm thinking the labels are extra with Tekton because they offer smaller sets/individual pieces. I am surprised Tekton doesn't offer the magnetic version though :wtf: tekton.com does offer free shipping and 10% back in rewards points that spend like cash. Decisions, decisions.
At 1.63 inches tall, i wish they were more like 1.5 inches tall.

Yeah they're too tall for my wrench drawers.

I’m stoked. I’ve been trying to find a good storage system for my Stahlwille and Gedore offset wrenches. The standard Ernst grippers don’t work because of the offset and I’m hoping these will.

I thought that they were unnecessarily tall also. How many people are storing 2"-3" (fastener head size) wrenches and thus need a rack over 1.5" tall?

I didn't look for labels, but Tekton used to give away the socket rail labels with a purchase.

Don't forget that Tekton has free shipping, even if it's a petty little order like a screwdriver. Once I added in shipping, Ernst is more for small quantities.

Is anyone else surprised by the price of these?
Not especially. Ernst drives the pricing. Their cost isn't just the $.05 worth of material, they've got overheads and fixed costs to consider, too. I don't feel like $.80 each when you buy them in the 40-tool set is a terrible deal. Are you feeling like they're too much, or cheaper than you'd expect?

This is good news; I've been searching for a compact wrench-holding system where I wouldn't have the sinking feeling that if I bought them my wrench-holders will have cost more than my wrenches did....

The price of the Ernst stuff does add up if you have a lot of tools. I'm sure I have 50+ of their socket rails, and many of the wrench racks. I bought most of my stuff very early on before it was widely available, so a lot of it came directly from Ernst - which meant paying shipping. So, I'm sure I've made at least one car payment for Mr Ernst. But the stuff is nice, works great, and is made in the US.

Buying Ernst is similar to buying a set of the Weathertech floor mats or liners- expensive, very high quality, and USA made.

The regular wrench grippers are $10 and aren’t as space saving. $20 for these are, to me, pretty reasonable and cheaper than a lot of the other brands but I also don’t have a thousand wrenches. I’ve never been a fan of the romex wire solution.

Maybe 2 years ago I tried the Ernst gripper rack and didn't like them. I considered foaming my wrench drawer to hold my wrenches how I wanted them but never did.

Then I got the Tekton email about their slotted organizer last week. And then I stumbled on this thread the next day. Then I found the (slightly cheaper) Ernst equivalent on Amazon and ordered a 20-wrench rack to try out.

Absolutely perfect for what I want. I ordered another 40-slot set yesterday. Agreed that they're a bit taller than most of us need, but the spacing is nice and the height works fine in my USG 44" shallow drawer. Most importantly, once you've got a few wrenches in them, THEY DON'T MOVE. The cleats on the bottom really sink into the foam drawer liner. Sure they might seem a little pricey for molded plastic, but they work and I certainly don't think I'd be able to make an equivalent solution any cheaper.

Man, getting two more rows started really whipped my drawer into shape  I will say, the spacing is a bit too large (in my opinion) for wrenches smaller than 10mm. Full Tekton metric no-skip combination set on the right with gearwrench x-beam flex-heads interleaved. ICON deep offset DBE and line wrenches middle, and my VERY sparse SAE on the left. Will probably spend some time playing with different layouts over a beer or two some bored rainy night.

Had a bit of time yesterday morning before work, so I mixed it up a bit over a cup of coffee. I like this better. Scratches the itch of having sets grouped together and I think the stubbies would slide into the middle nicely when I need to add to the left row. Put the drawer to work last night changing the rear shocks on my truck, and it was satisfying to not have to dig through loose wrenches in the drawer

These seem to be a good middle ground however I still love the KRA-15 Wrench rails (Also offered by OEM Tools on Amazon). Super cheap and can be cut to fit however you like. They also make a more leaned back variant for the larger wrench sizes.tools3.jpg

I’m expecting a few of these new wrench pros this weekend. I’m eager to see if they’ll work for all my weirdo offset German wrenches. So far from what I am seeing from you guys I am excited.

This link point to a reseller asking way too much for this jack. They are NOT an official AC Hydraulic distributor.
One of the AC Hydraulic distributors on AC Hydraulics' site has it for more.
Is "add to quote" the best way to get an MSRP figure?

Hi! The add to quote feature will then take you to "continue to find a dealer", which is our distributor locator. Then said distributor will be in contact to provide you their sales price to you. Anybody listed on our website is an actual AC Hydraulic distributor. Hope this helps!
