Anyone have them?

Are they sensitive to the wrench size ratings (largest) listed by the manufacturer or can I just buy the number of slots I need and assume that my largest wrench a few sizes over the rating will fit without hanging up on the drawer floor?

I wasn't sure if the elevation of the wrench in the tray was that critical.

I don't know about the gripper version but I have the standard version and have wrenches up to 1 5/16" in them without hanging up on the floor of the drawer. Relative to other wrench racks I have, these are far more accommodating to larger wrenches.

I have a lot of Ernst organizers and they're all well designed.

Not to confuse the matter, but if you have the socket rails, do the standard ones hold the sockets tight enough for transport in all orientations?

Yes they hold the sockets very securely. They also have twist lock clips for the rails if you need something even more secure. With the twist lock ones you just twist a quarter of a turn and the socket unlocks from the clip.

Yes, I have them and like them a lot. You don't quite need to follow the size ratings exactly, but don't try to mismatch your wrenches to the rack by a wide margin.
