ERV to supply fresh air hood?

I am installing an April Aire 8100 ERV in my 700 sq ft (9' ceiling) Garage.
It supplies 120 CFM @ .30" WC.

Any reason I can not slip the fresh air outlet with a damper, having the 2nd one supplying a fresh air hood.

That supply would have to reduce from the 6" duct to the size of the fresh air hood hose,, and that is where I am questioning the viability of this idea?

Bottom line is I am buying (1K ) a unit to pump fresh air into the garage at 120 CFM,, why pay for a second unit to do the same thing??

Per a previous thread,, my new detached garage/shop is well insulated and tight. I am in MD so temp swings are constant and leads to condensation when a warm/moist front comes in. In the Summer the shop stays a good 10-20 deg cooler than the outside, so I seldom open the doors/windows.
So, I installed a de-humidifier and it all works out good,, Until I weld or use a rattle can, the smoke/smell lingers forever.
So,, I am installing an ERV, I will have it on a timer switch, only run it when I need to.

Since I am already Installing an ERV and the associated ducting, I was curious if it had the *** to supply a fresh air hood? Of course I would have a damper to select standard ERV operation, or to supply the fresh air to the hood.

The ERV is on the extreme side of "High Volume, Low Pressure" so not sure how well it would work "necking" it down to the Fresh air hood sized hose ??

What are you pumping air in for? Is this a clean room?

Are you the same guy asking about using an air compressor to supply air to a respirator?

Anything with breathing buy the proper gear.

Nope,
I know better than that,, but an ERV is used to supply air into your home for your entire family to breath.

And I agree with you, I would buy the proper hood and hose,, but since I am spending a $1000 (just parts) on a "fresh air blower"
Trying to see if it could also supply fresh air to a hood?
It is not a question of the quality of air it would supply, but quanity?

Any idea what the small Fresh air turbines supply??

What exactly do you mean by hood?

An ERV in the house or room is diluted with the room air...they are not fed directly into someones lungs. Air supplies for breathing are heavily regulated.
