Im in the market for a new multi process welder. I have become very attracted to the Esab Rebel. It looks like a ver nice machine and is very versatile. Cyberweld.com has a great price on it. I was comparing it to the Tweco 211i machine. The Tweco has a slightly higher amp output on all three functions. It is priced a little bit better than the Rebel, even after buying the tig torch. Does anyone have any experience with either of theses? Thanks in advance.

Im in the same boat, been waiting for the rebel to finally be available, but now im kind of leaning towards the tweco 252i (always buy bigger then what you need) its only a few hundred more then the rebel and but it is a lot bigger machine.

Thats true but I think that the 211i or rebel would fit my needs. I don't do any major work. Mainly hobbies, motorcycles, and light fab work. The 211i has great reviews. And they seem to be more available than the rebel.

I have the Thermal Arc 211i and have nothing but good things to say about the machine.

Had I not had a budget I would have purchased a Miller Dynasty and a separate machine for mig welding as I really want the ability to tig aluminum.

Another thing to look at is the AHP Alpha Tig machine that is a huge value with lots of good reviews. This machine is good for those starting out and working from a budget.

I'm a Miller guy, but Tweco has been the standard as one of the best wire feed guns for years. I've welded with Esab welders, also good welders, if I in the market for a welder I would try both out to see what I liked best.

I have a Lincoln at home and a Miller plasma. My Lincoln has done very well for me. I have a nice Miller at work that works very well. I've decided on the Tweco. Best bang for the buck for my moderate work around the house. I was able to save $50 by using my company discount. It will be ordered tomorrow. I talked to some welders at work that have experience with those machines and they didn't have anything bad to say other than the ground clamp being flimsy.
