I rarely ever find any good tools at Garage Sales. I prefere to search the Estate Sales for tool finds. Been a while since a came across a good on. Got all this for $26. The pick axe is in perfect condition and still has the original Farm&fleet $4 price tag. That is a 200 foot steel Lufkin. The Desmond wheel dresser is unused. Everything is american made. This sale was nice. Whish I had more to spend. It was an old farmhouse with a barn. Had an old working tool room lathe. A whole bunch craftsman Homeshop tools from the 40's and 50s...lathe, router, table saws, jointers, etc. All still had the original bases.

Nice score! The smaller Craftsman tape is from somewhere from 1933 or so to late 40's possibly early 50's. (Long C logo). Is it steel or cloth?

Those wrenches are BArcalo Buffalo. Here is a close up of the Craftsman tape measure. It is steel. I don't know why bu I like old measuring equipment. Maybe because they always price that stuff for $1

Did a little research on teh Allay Artifacts web site.. The small black wrench is a pre 1924 J.H.Willaims wrench. Another is an early Merit brand from 1920-1930. The 3rd is a Fairmount.

I have passed on soo many wrenches liek this the last few years. I think I will stop passing and start hoarding....er I mean collecting.
