good afternoon everybody, stumbled on a mid-week estate sale on my way to the lawnmower shop. picked up a tool box and a jack. i took some pics of a group of sockets that are not marked, only that they're usa made and size. and the jack. only marked made in usa, what do you call that style of jack? sadly no handle any idea's on who might have made these?

The one with the knurling In the middle could old snap on or MTF (Milwaukee Tool Forge). If is snap on it will have an S and O stamped on top of each other near the drive end of the socket. The other sockets are hard to say.

thanks r, good call! went out and wire brushed that 1 with the middle knurling and it is a snap on, the only other mark i found is what looks like an 8. date chart 1928? there was a couple other misc snap on a few old looking sk's a bunch of craftsman. any clue on that jack (pretty neat, couldn't leave it). thanks, agian

I believe so on the snap on date being 1928. Is it 1/2 drive or 5/8?. As far as jacks are, I don't know jack about jacks.

hi all
that old snap on is a little odd. no size marked? it is 1/2dr. and that jack. i found one online and the seller called it a bumber jack. i don't think i would put that kind of weight on it? the markings on the base say's "made in usa" and a #2. thanks bill300d, i think you nailed it on those unmarked sockets. i look on the alloy artifacts site (new britain) and they're what was described. thanks again for all of the feed back
