I picked up a Rockwell/Delta 9” Deluxe table saw this weekend at at estate sale. This saw is solidly built, and surprisingly heavy for its footprint. It looks like it was built in the late 1960s/early 1970s. There is essentially no rust on it, and it’s in beautiful runnng condition. The blade guard came with it, along with various 8”, 9”, and 10” blades. I wasn’t actively looking for a table saw, but couldn’t pass one up in this condition at the price that was on it. I had to disassemble it for transport, which was pretty simple. And right after I had loaded it into the trunk of my Camry, another fellow walked by and asked me about the saw. Apparently he had seen it in the ad and came over to purchase it, but he got there just a little later than I did. Nice guy too. Funny, but I usually seem to find myself in that position instead of being the lucky one.

Does anyone here own one of these saws? Any recommendations on upgrading anything on it? I’ll just be using it for projects around the house, and not using it for commercial purposes. Thanks.

That Delta saw is very nice, I think someone told me one time that it was the most copied saw in the world, if that is the case then they made some great saws.

Just asking but how much did they ask for it ?

I had actually forgotten that the sale started on Saturday, and I ended up going over on Sunday morning. The saw was priced at $40, and I couldn’t believe that it was still there. Sunday everything was 1/2 price, so I got it for $20.

I also got some great deals on a few other items including a vintage Craftsman wood Lathe with some Sorby chisels.

Maui you do know if they hooked you up to Hoover Dam at your **** rate you would have drained that lake in less then 3 seconds...:shocking:

You stole that saw call the police!:rolleyes: and here I am trying to talk someone down in price from $45.00 dollars to $25.00 dollars for a well used old power hand held drill and fighting all the way tooth and nail...:wtf:

Yeah Maui, that definitely earns you a "you ****" award!

Great score on what looks like a really nice saw. I also can't believe it lasted the entire first day. I would imagine that at most estate sales that saw would sell in the first few minutes priced at $40. I don't need a saw at all but it would have come home with me too at either price.
